Thierry Rayna est Professeur Associé en Économie Industrielle à London Metropolitan University. Il est également membre associé au Centre de Recherche sur l'Internet (Internet Centre) d'Imperial College à Londres, où il a été responsable, pendant deux ans, du développement du pôle économique du centre. Auparavant, il a été chercheur, pendant un an, à l'Université de Cambridge et a également travaillé pour plusieurs universités britanniques (London School of Economics, University College London, University of Bristol,). Thierry Rayna est titulaire d'un doctorat européen en sciences économiques, obtenu avec les félicitations du jury. Sa thèse, sur les biens numériques comme biens publics durables, a été dirigée par Paul Bourgine. Ses centres d'intérêts sont: le piratage et l'échange de bien numériques, l'innovation et l'organisation industrielle, les droits de propriété intellectuelle et les brevets, les biens publics et les comportements individuels et collectifs, la microéconomie et la théorie des jeux, les réseaux et les protocoles de pair-à-pair, l'économie internationale et le développement. .

Thierry Rayna is a Senior Lecturer (Ass. Prof.) in Industrial and Business Economics at London Metropolitan University. He is also an associate researcher at the Internet Centre of Imperial College London, where he was in charge, for two years, of the development of the Economics theme of the Centre. Beforehand, he was, for one year, a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Economics and Politics of the University of Cambridge and worked in several leading UK universities (London School of Economics, University of Bristol, University College London). Thierry Rayna holds a European PhD in Economics (summa cum laude). His thesis on "Digital Goods as Public Durable Goods" was supervised by Dr Paul Bourgine. His research interests are: Piracy and the exchange of digital goods (music, movies, software, documents); Innovation and Industrial Organisation; IPR and patent governance and policy; Public goods, collective and individual behaviour; Microeconomics and Game Theory; Networks and peer-to-peer file sharing protocols; International and Development Economics.
